Paul de Römph (ROM) is 51 years old and lives near The Hague with his wife and 5 children.
After
studying Economics at the HES in Rotterdam, Paul spent more than 25
years accumulating expertise and gaining experience in Financial and
Management positions whilst working for various international companies
such as IKEA, CODA Financials and BAAN Company.
At the start
of 1999, Paul was appointed CFO of an international pharmaceutical
investment group. This Private Equity Fund was, and still is, active
through investments in the (generic plus) pharmaceutical industry, the
peptide industry, real estate, venture capital and diagnostics (both
food safety and human diagnostics).
In 2008, after working
nearly 10 years as CFO for the above-mentioned Private Equity Fund,
Paul decided to continue his career as independent entrepreneur.
One
of his subsequent achievements was a management buyout, taking over a
food safety diagnostics company called EuroProxima B.V.. The company is
situated in Arnhem, has 15 employees, and has a turnover of almost 2.5
million Euros.
In addition, together with his business partner
Joren Exler, he established "ROMEX Investments B.V.", a real estate
business that focuses on second homes in the Alpine states.
Joren Exler (EX) is 32 years old and lives together with his girlfriend and son in Amsterdam.
After
his degree in business economics at the HES in Amsterdam, Joren
specialised in Finance at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. In 2005
he completed his master’s degree in Finance.
Straight after
his studies, Joren started as a Management Trainee at the Rabobank,
where he gained experience working for a number of departments, such as
Mergers & Takeovers, Senior Relation Banking, Large Corporate
Rotterdam and Debt Capital Markets. He then started working as Equity
Sales Manager at Rabobank Securities.
In September 2007, he
decided to say goodbye to the bank and follow his ambition to become an
entrepreneur with ROMEX Investments, together with his business partner
Paul de Römph.
