Behind the scenes, Paul is supported by a financially strong co-shareholder who is not actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the company.
In 2016, Paul founded Glennie’s Investments with the aim of developing the Glennie’s Restaurants chain. This initiative is particularly special, as it was created for Paul’s son Glenn, who has Down syndrome. That same year, the first Glennie’s Restaurant opened in Wildschönau, Tyrol, Austria, followed by a second location in Westendorf in December 2021. Both restaurants have since proven to be successful concepts and are known for their warm atmosphere and unique character.

Over the years, Romex has grown into a successful family-owned business, with several family members of founder Paul de Römph actively involved. His son Mark has been involved since the company’s inception and is responsible for managing the rental organization Romex Stays. Cousin Nigel has been working within the company for more than ten years and supports the rental process at an operational level. Daughter Ashley has been active at Romex for eight years and is responsible for marketing, sales, and the management of all staff. Lindsay, the youngest daughter, has been working for two years as an interior specialist, focusing on the design of new projects while also supporting the marketing department.
With Paul as founder and his family closely involved in the company’s operations, Romex distinguishes itself through a personal approach, strong commitment, and continuity. This close family foundation provides a solid and stable basis for further growth and future success.
